You Know Youโre an SRE When...... your children tell you to stop bugging them about doing their homework because "Iโm within SLO!"... you have to justify the difference between ops, SRE, DevOps, and so on, and you confuse even yourself sometimes.... your first question is "How are you measuring that?"... you erase the word "blame" from your vocabulary.#Seeking_SRE#SRE#sitereliabilityengineering

๐ Calling all DevOps and SRE professionals! ๐I'm on the hunt for recommendations on networking and infrastructure tools that I could develop using Rust language. My aim is to craft a production-ready software that not only enhances my skills but also adds significant value to the SRE community.Ideally, I'm seeking a concept that fills a gap in the current landscape of tools. Something innovative and unique, where Rust's performance and reliability can truly shine.Your expertise and insights would be invaluable in helping me choose a project that leaves a lasting impression. Let's collaborate and create something remarkable together!Feel free to drop your suggestions or reach out to me directly. Excited to embark on this journey with you all! ๐#DevOps #SRE #RustLang #Infrastructure #Networking #OpenSource #Innovation

The main area of difficulty for clients hiring SRE and Devops professionals in my experience is struggling to find candidates with a deep knowledge with Kubernetes. I constantly ask clients, what questions or scenario's do you ask a potential employee to understand the competency within Kubernetes. Many client's struggle to articulate how they assess this. So as a hiring manager, how do you assess someone capabilities with Kubernetes?

Key difference between #Devops and #SRE Organized Infrastructure projects, should have clear Distinguish of #Devops VS #SRE Roles and responsibilities ๐คท โ๏ธ ๐ฅ In some companies SRE should work within the DevOps pipeline setup and DevOps should be involved in the SRE infrastructure setup. Basically these 2 roles and responsibilities comes under one Position. ๐คฆ ๐
