This is why you take care of your machines, people. If you take care of your machines, it will be ready when you get ready to mow.

It sure will be!

I have bench tested solenoids by hooking up to a 9 volt battery. As always a ton of info.
@IndRepair หลายเดือนก่อน
Definitely works, I have a spot welder that has DC output I used to use a lot for this kind of testing. Anymore, I prefer quick and easy much as I can. A battery would definitely get us there

Good video, I am surprised that Toro went to those crappy engines. I have seen lots of issues with them. Kawasaki engines seem to be the top of the line lately, but very pricey.
@IndRepair หลายเดือนก่อน
Kawasaki makes a great engine, it is all about the bottom line for many anymore unfortunately

That part of the engine cover where the air filter goes looked dirty.
@IndRepair หลายเดือนก่อน
It definitely was. I did clean it before marking it as finished and alerting the customer. Many times when doing a video I still get sidetracked and have to go back over things to get the fine details correct. Thanks for watching!

My Buddy has a 52" ExMark Radius.
It runs great "If" the fuel cap is loose.
Tightened down & it'll only run a few minutes then it's like a safety switch kicks in & it dies.
New fuel filter stays full of fuel, plenty of oil, etc.
Could it be the fuel cap not venting?
Can you drill a hole or hole 2 in that plastic inner vent piece inside the fuel cap?
I've had 1 place tell me it's the EPA Canister that "T's" off just past the fuel filter & hangs by a piece of hose. Fuel pump is fine, Kohler Engine. Thanks, Mike in TX 🤟@IndRepair หลายเดือนก่อน +2
It could very well be the canister, if the hose going to the canister happened to not be attached or to have somewhere to vent this would not be able to happen. If it is only when the fuel cap is on it is definitely a fuel tank vent issue

That motor has a major oil leak on the left valve cover or maybe a head gasket leak, can't tell because of the dirt.
@IndRepair หลายเดือนก่อน +2
Yeah, I estimated it but unfortunately can't fix them all like you want to
@leosweeney7955หลายเดือนก่อน +1
Hi, invest in some JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screw drivers and/or bits. I never used them, till I learned about them, holly cow, what a difference, when u use the right tool for the job!!!! Just FYI.
@leosweeney7955หลายเดือนก่อน
I always broke them loose first, with pliers or vice grips, like u, till I tried them.
@leosweeney7955หลายเดือนก่อน +2
I'm 65, and just learned this difference, this year!!!! LOL
@IndRepair หลายเดือนก่อน +1
I have some but these are not JIS screws I do not believe

@@leosweeney7955 All the UTV and ATV carburetors we used to work on used JIS screws

Martin, do you ever blow out an obstructed 90 fitting in the tank by disconnecting the fuel line at the pump and blowing from that direction towards the tank? Then fish it out with a light and flexible grabber? I’m thinking an endoscope would aid in doing this, especially on ZT tanks.
@IndRepair หลายเดือนก่อน
I have not ever done it this way but I suppose it is possible to do it like this

@IndRepair 3 วันที่ผ่านมา
What do you mean by went to ground? Start with a good battery and clean, tight corrosion free connections

FAQs
Why is my Toro riding lawn mower hard to start? ›
There may be old or bad fuel in the carburetor float bowl. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and make the engine hard to start. If the carburetor is clogged, try cleaning it with carburetor cleaner.
Where are the ignition fuse? ›The ignition relay (when equipped) is typically found inside the vehicle's fuse box. It can be located using the diagram on the fuse box cover.
Where is the starter motor fuse located? ›The fuse box (also called the power box), the instrument panel under the fuse panel, or the right fender are all possible locations. In most cars, it will be under the hood, in a large box with a black lid.
Why won't my mower fully start? ›Your Mower Won't Start:
If you have last season's gas in your mower, drain your fuel tank and fill with fresh gas. Other possible causes include: Loose, Dirty or Disconnected Spark Plug in Your Lawn Mower: Check it out, clean off debris, re-connect and tighten. Dirty Air Filter: Clean or replace.
Understanding the Starting System
If your lawn mower won't start, it could be due to a weak or dead battery, a faulty ignition switch, failed component in the ignition circuit, a worn-out starter motor, or a malfunctioning spark plug.
There's no primer button on the Toro 22” mower so you can just slowly squeeze the mower blade control bar (front side of the handle) and mower handle. You'll need to be holding this with one hand throughout use.
What is the PTO switch on a zero turn mower? ›PTO stands for Power Take-Off, it transfers power from the engine's drive pulley to the blades, usually via an electric clutch and pulley system. Power take-offs also work on other farm machinery to drive attachments like mowers, tillers, balers, and harvesting equipment through a power take-off shaft.
Why would a zero turn mower stop moving? ›The problem you are experiencing can occur if your transaxle drive belt is loose, worn, slipping, broken, or off of one of your pulleys. Keep in mind that your mower has two belts. One belt drives your deck blades, and the other drives your transmission pulley.
Where is the fuse on a zero turn mower? ›The fuse block location may vary with the age and style of the mower, but is generally located along the wiring harness between the battery and the key switch.
Where is the instrument fuse located? ›Locate the instrument cluster fuse.
This is typically found inside the fuse box, which is located under the dash on the driver's side of the car.
Why does my zero turn mower keep blowing fuses? ›
Most often, the cause of a blown fuse in a riding lawn mower is a short circuit, which happens when a damaged wire or failed component lets electrical current flow to the metal frame of the mower through an unintended path.
