The Badgers participated in a light open practice Thursday as they arrived at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
There weren't many shining moments for the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Not even the one that made the annual tournament-ending TV highlights montage, because the brief clip of Badgers fans celebrating that appeared late Monday night wasn't from the first-round loss to James Madison.
"One Shining Moment" isn't limited to footage from the NCAA Tournament, it appears.
Trevor and Heidi Winter showed up on the screen 13 seconds into the clips montage playing with "One Shining Moment" on the broadcast after Monday's NCAA men's basketball championship game. The parents of Badgers freshman Nolan Winter were cheering in a section of Wisconsin fans.

The video, however, was from a much more cheerful time for the Badgers than the NCAA Tournament ended up being. The Winters' reaction was captured after the upset victory over Purdue in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals March 16 in Minneapolis.
The clip that ended up in "One Shining Moment" originally aired on CBS at the end of the semifinal game broadcast.
Wisconsin lost to Illinois for the conference championship the following day and never led in crashing out of the NCAAs as a No. 5 seed in New York on March 22.
The "One Shining Moment" montage has played at the end of coverage of the NCAA championship game since 1987, focusing on the emotion in and around tournament games. Clips of bands, cheerleaders and fans from a variety of teams are as much a staple as on-court highlights.
But this time at least, the producers reached beyond the boundaries of the 67-game tournament.
Wisconsin's brief appearance in the tournament featured in another part of this year's highlights: Tyler Wahl, AJ Storr, Chucky Hepburn, John Blackwell and Max Klesmit were in the background while the camera caught Dukes player Terrence Edwards Jr. celebrating in the final seconds of a 72-61 win over the Badgers.
