Is there a train from Lake Zurich to Chicago? ›

Red Line 'L'

The Red Line provides 24-hour train service between Howard on the North Side and 95th/Dan Ryan on the South Side via subway through downtown Chicago.

Operating hours and headways

Like the Blue Line, the Red Line runs 24 hours a day. On weekdays, service runs very frequently at 30 tph (trains per hour) during rush hour, and 8tph during the midday and nighttime. On Saturdays, 6tph in the early morning, then increase to 10–11 tph during the day, then 8tph at night.
